SIMON can export any data from your customized report cards to an ASCII text file (or any other type of file).

Clicking the "Export Data" button on the Main Screen will open the "Export Data" window. In this window you can export any data from your student’s report cards. You can export a single field or comment, all fields and comments, or any combination of fields.

The Export Data window contains two important list fields that work together to export data: Data Export Profiles, and Export Schools/Teacher Profiles. Use these two lists to create reusable sets of export criteria.

• DATA EXPORT PROFILES - a Data Export Profile defines which field(s) you want to export from your report cards. Choosing which fields you want to capture data from is just a click. This is done in the Report Window. Each field (or cell) on your report cards will be displayed as a button. Just click the one you want!
  
  
• EXPORT SCHOOLS/TEACHER PROFILES - An Export School/Teacher Profile defines which teacher(s) from what schools will be included in the export.

By creating profiles, you will be able to export data each term without having to redefine the desired fields each time you want to export data.

For example, you could create a profile that will export only math grades from the Special Education teachers. Another profile could export grades for your Multiple Measures. You could then run these exports anytime you want without having to redefine what fields and teachers to export. Simply select the desired profile, and go!

In the "Export Data" window, click the "Export Options" button to display the "Export Options" window. In this window you can select what school, teacher or student data you want included for each student. This area also provides access to any custom exports.
