Creating Report Card Links

Weights allow you to define how much of the averaged grade each Topic will receive. For example, if you want Tests and Quizzes to account for 60% of the final grade, and homework to account for 40% of the grade, assigning weights will allow you to accomplish this.

To access the Report Card Links, choose Report Card Links from the Report Card menu.

To create a new Report Card Link, click the New Report Card Link button. A new Report Card Link will be listed on the left.

Give your new Report Card Link a name by typing it into the Name field. Choose a name that briefly describes the link. For example, "Quarter 1 Math" or "Writing - term 2". Something you'll recognize later.

Choose the desired report from the Report popup menu. The selected report card will display in the main part of the window.

If your district report cards are available in multiple languages, you will see listings for all the versions of your report cards. In almost all cases, grades will be applied to both all report cards the same. Choose the non-English report card only if you are going to be placing grades into a report card field that requires separate English and Spanish grades. If you are unsure, choose the English report card.

Now, just click the field you want to link to. The selected field will display blue. If you change your mind, just click a different field.

When you have all the settings as desired, close the Report Card Links window.
